Meet Eleanor
If you’re like me, you spend a good deal of time sewing, cutting, and pressing in your sewing room. It’s so important to have good material, tools, and workspace surfaces for our creativity and productivity. Arrow Sewing Cabinets has thought of how we work and fulfills all your needs and wants when it comes to furniture and cabinets for your sewing room!
You may already know that I am an Arrow Creator and brand ambassador for Arrow Sewing. I started collaborating with them in August of 2022 and outfitted my sewing room with the Kangaroo and Joey sewing cabinet and the incredibly comfortable Arrow Sewing Chair. I don’t know how I worked all the years prior without this workhorse of a cabinet! The surface area and storage is amazing and it folds down to a desk size when not in use. Here’s a link to an Instagram Reel I created when I turned my sewing room into a guest room and how easy it is to move this substantial piece of furniture. Watch the video, HERE.
I have a very small sewing room—little less than 9’ x 9’ and with a big window and closet door to work around the space is limited. But, with that said, my large Kangaroo and Joey cabinet can serve as sewing and cutting table/work surface and be moved around easily as needed. I really didn’t think I could put another work table in the room until I saw the Eleanor Electric Height Adjustable Multi-function Sewing and Cutting Table.
The Eleanor came beautifully packed and the stout and well-made pieces were very easy to assemble. My husband helped me assemble it and it took maybe all of 20 minutes with just a few screws. We did refer to the assembly tutorial found on the Arrow website and it really took any guesswork out of the assembly.
This is a small but mighty sewing table! Eleanor will serve as a multi-functional table in my sewing room. This sewing table has an electric height adjustable feature so I can change the height of the table top for the task. I plan to use her mostly as a pressing station but, with the specifically designed cutting mat (Mat-E), presto, she’s now a second work surface for cutting! There’s a sewing machine insert that can drop down for flat bed sewing. It’s an easy twist of a knob and manual height adjustment with ratcheted increments and my serger fits perfectly into the space to make a second sewing table. I could sew standing or sitting depending on how high I want the table to be.
The Eleanor table would also make a terrific standup computer desk, as well—so many uses!
The beautiful pressing mat is from IronMATIK and is the Jaipur Collection in green. It fits this table perfectly and easily rolls up to store when not in use. Here’s a link to the IronMatik web page but at the moment it looks as if this mat and steam glove bundle is sold out. You may, however, be able to get it from shops that have it in stock by searching online.
What isn’t shown, because they are currently on back order, are the castors I’ll be getting for my Eleanor Sewing Table. I love furniture I can move around as needed and castors are a must for me. The castors and the Mat-E cutting mat for Eleanor are sold separately as add-ons.
You can program up to 4 height settings on your Eleanor Sewing Table—it doesn’t get more fun or easier than that!

Sneak Peek
I’m busy creating a new quilt pattern that will be available on May 2nd! It’s called Granny Plaid and it’s a fun quilt design with summer picnics in mind! This sneak peek is of the throw quilt sample I’ve made but I’ll also have the cover quilt in a full/queen size to share with you on pattern release day along with a quilt show of beautiful Granny Plaid makes by my Tester Team. You may have also noticed a patchwork spool block on my Eleanor pressing station—that’s a new quilt pattern coming soon, too, in June!
Be sure to follow me on Instagram for my daily postings @sharonhollanddesigns about my next quilt pattern releases, the projects I’m working on, new fabric collections coming, and more!
